Maid N America
An observational study of “freedom” for the Black American. This piece explores the dichotomy of the constrictive “freedom” awarded to Blacks in a country built by the blood of their ancestors. The Negro (N) made America. However, even in our emancipation, we are still treated as maids, servants to a social hierarchy orchestrated to stunt us.
The subject is painted in such a way that he blends into the background symbolizing that despite circumstance, Black is boundless and all-encompassing.
